Ben Chickadel, UCDS Design and Technology Specialist and Graduate School faculty member, and Early Elementary students were featured on KING 5 News, highlighting how UCDS fosters thoughtful, curious learners through hands-on, collaborative learning experiences.

At UCDS, students develop skills such as critical thinking, collaboration, inquiry, and reflection—supporting them in approaching problems with curiosity and confidence. In Design & Technology, learning is centered on purposeful tool use and human-centered thinking, helping students create work that is intentional and authentic.
