Teacher Education Center Mission
The UCDS Teacher Education Center (TEC) creates and cultivates professional development opportunities, innovative programs and educational partnerships. The TEC is committed to promoting teacher excellence and enhancing education at UCDS and in the broader community.
Overview
The UCDS Teacher Education Center was established in 2001 and is supported by the John Nielson Endowment Fund.
Through the TEC, UCDS creates opportunities for teachers to:
- Establish collaborative partnerships with educators from local and national universities, public schools, and educational organizations.
- Have access to the resource materials and tools they need to implement their curricular ideas and explorations within the classroom.
- Share their expertise and research with other educators through educational forums, community events, publishing opportunities and courses they offer.
- Build connections in the arts and teaching communities.
- Work with renowned national and international scholars.
