Volunteer Support
Our parents volunteer their time and talent in a number of ways. The PA sends a Parent Survey to each household in our summer mailing allowing our parents to share skills, interests, and resources with the school. The PA Officers, teachers, and staff use this resource database to solicit volunteers for PA events and for other school initiatives as they arise.
PA Officers are nominated and approved each spring by the parent community. There are eight officers: a President, two Co-Vice Presidents, Treasurer, Secretary, Event Coordinator and a Speaker Series Coordinators. PA Officers are nominated each spring and approved in May. Each officer's tenure is for one year, but officers are welcome to resubmit their names for nomination for a second term. PA Officers hold monthly meetings to discuss upcoming events, volunteer needs, the PA budget, school requests, administrative support and issues presented to us by the parent community. Minutes of PA Officers meetings are posted on the school bulletin board.
