UCDS is a dynamic and continuously evolving educational model. With our admission process, we aim to create peer groups for children that foster academic rigor, respect and risk taking.
Our admission process includes student visits, parent questionnaires, teacher recommendations, parent interviews and testing information (for kindergarten applicants and older) to form a complete picture of each child and his or her family. Our Admission Committee then considers all these unique components to build a diverse student class.
Located in the University District, UCDS is a preschool and elementary program for children from age three through fifth-grade. All the classes at UCDS feature multi-age classrooms, which offer flexible groupings, support for diverse learning styles and student peer teaching opportunities.
UCDS does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sexual orientation or national/ethnic origin in the administration of our admission, financial aid or other school-administered programs.
