Our Parent Association Enhances Communication

The Parent Association works closely with the UCDS Administration to establish community building and fundraising objectives. In addition, the UCDS Board of Trustees will set broad objectives through the UCDS Strategic Plan that impact the PA. For this reason, the PA President serves as an ex officio member of the UCDS Board of Trustees.

PA Officers are nominated and approved each spring by the parent community. There are seven officers: a President, two Co-Vice Presidents, Treasurer, Secretary, Speaker Coordinator, and Room Parent Coordinator. PA Officers are nominated each spring and approved in May. Each officer’s tenure is for one year, but officers are welcome to resubmit their names for nomination for a second term. PA Officers hold monthly meetings to discuss upcoming events, volunteer needs, the PA budget, school requests, administrative support and issues presented to us by the parent community. Minutes of PA Officers meetings are posted on the school bulletin board.
