At certain times in our lives, naming opportunities present themselves.  It's an opportunity to honor loved ones or to recognize people who have influenced our lives.

UCDS offers such an opportunity.

Gifts to the Endowment can achieve several goals simultaneously:

  •  Help fund important priorities of UCDS, now and in the future.
  •  Honor special people or family members.

Gifts to UCDS may fulfill these goals, as donors wish, by creating a named endowment fund.

Named funds enable UCDS to remain faithful to its mission and to enhance its cutting edge program. All naming proposals are subject to Board approval.

For donors, named endowments are a way to perpetuate the name of a family member or individual and also to guarantee the school an annual source of income. For UCDS, the importance and significance of any endowment is the amount of annual support it will produce in perpetuity. Assuming an annual 5% draw, an endowment of $100,000 will provide a reliable stream of income of about $5,000 every year, forever.

Donors of named funds will receive regular reports from the school about the growth of the entire endowment, the status of the fund they established, and the ways in which its income has enhanced the program or purpose for which it is restricted.

The Board of Trustees has established that there will be one UCDS Endowment. The Board has also established that a donor may name a fund within the UCDS Endowment with a minimum gift level of $150,000.
