Each year the UCDS Annual Fund raises funds that are essential in support of the school's yearly operating budget.
Why do we need an Annual Fund?
Tuition alone does not cover the costs of the outstanding education children receive at UCDS:
- Low Student to Teacher Ratio of 8:1 provides responsive, personal attention for your child.
- Individualized, Child-Centered Instruction helps to discover, nurture, and stretch your child's abilities.
- Highly Collaborative Teaching brings energy, creativity, and collective wisdom to the classroom each day.
- Outstanding Specialists deliver exciting explorations into music, physical education, language, art, science and technology.
What is the Annual Fund
Each fall, the Parent Association and the Development Department coordinate an Annual Fund drive. Funds raised help cover the gap between tuition and cost, and we invite each family to participate at a level appropriate for them. You will receive information in October from Annual Fund co-chairs Catherine Gaston and Dina Wampold about how you can support this cornerstone of our annual fundraising.
